Community action Marin is a non-profit organization whose mission is to ultimately alleviate poverty, by promoting independence among low income folks in Marin. We strive to improve stability, quality of life and community connection through a variety of different social services that provide the foundation to develop life skills. Our programs support clients through financial management, career coaching, child care support, energy assistance, better nutrition, advocacy and support for families living with mental illness and overall improvement of standard of living in Marin.

CAM's central kitchen prepares all of the meals for Head Start and CAM Child Development programs each day. Located in Central San Rafael, the state of the art kitchen, under the supervision of a licensed nutritionist, prepares breakfast, lunch and snacks for over 700 children in over thirty classrooms throughout Marin County.

The CENTRAL KITCHEN is a crucial part of the programs that are provided through Community action Marin. Families and children are supported through learning and experiencing good nutrition.

The CENTRAL KTICHEN needs your help, they need volunteers to come in on weekedays from 9:00 - 11:00 to help prep the meals!!! This is a critical way that people could help the children in the community and contribute to an amazing program and learn firsthand how many students are being served through our kitchen and our child development programs.

This can be a one time commitment or an ongoing commitment, we are open to whatever experience you would like. This is also great for groups, or families, or half-day corporate engagement projects. This will be a great experience and an amazing help to Community Action Marin. Thank you in advance!

Community Action Marin is a long-time equal opportunity employer in Marin County and embraces people of all faiths and backgrounds to join our projects.
